Level Up Our Parks and Green Spaces

Parks and urban green spaces are the lifeblood of our local area providing places to escape urban life and spaces for communities to come together.

I am pleased that the local authorities have worked hard to improve parks across our great city, which is proud to be home to several award-winning parks home, including Tunstall Park that recently saw fresh investment, and the internationally recognised Green Flag status Burslem Park.

Building on this fantastic local record in parks, as well as the success seen at the newly installed pump track at Newchapel Rec over in Kidsgrove Parish, I want to see a pump track revolution across Stoke-on-Trent North and replicate this brilliant success story.

That is why I have started a petition, to lobby the government for money from the Levelling Up Parks fund, to transform two local parks across the constituency.

Working with local Councillors Dave Evans and Carl Edwards, as well as fantastic community champion Jenny Taylor in Baddeley Green, Milton and Norton, I am urging the government to transform the former Norton BMX track near Ball Green into a facility that can be enjoyed by young people in the area.

I have also been inspired by the work of Middleport Matters, in their campaign to breathe new life into Middleport Park, and want to work with them to create a fantastic environment for the local community to get out and exercise.

Good parks and green spaces benefit everyone, and offer a safe environment to keep fit, socialise and explore.

Having already made my case clear to the government in the House of Commons, I need you to show them how important levelling up our local parks is to you.

So please, sign my petition below today!
