Success - Police Touchdown Space in Newly Refurbished & Reopened Tunstall Town Hall following Petition

Following Jonathan's successful petition and campaign, a police post has been created in the newly refurbished and re-opened Tunstall Town Hall.

The closure of Tunstall Police Station meant there was no physical police presence in Tunstall at a time when crime and antisocial behaviour was being reported continuously into Jonathan's office.

Jonathan therefore launched a campaign for Staffordshire Police to have a permanent space as part of Stoke-on-Trent City Council's newly refurbished and reopened Tunstall Town Hall.

This saw over 400 people sign a petition to see a 'police post' in the Town Hall, becoming a space for local officers and PCSOs to work, charge their equipment and host regular drop-in sessions from, as well as increase the working partnership between the local police and City Council.

Jonathan presented the petition to the Adults & Neighbourhoods Overview & Scrutiny Committee at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and the Committee unanimously supported his plan.

Since the Town Hall reopened, the police are building up to using the space for a drop in session for members of the public.
