As your MP, I am determined to work with our local police, authorities and residents to ensure Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove & Talke is a safe place for all of us.
The government is hiring 20,000 extra police officers across the country. Already, that’s meant an extra 121 officers in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
As we continue to recruit more police, I want to hear what you feel the top priorities should be for tackling crime locally.
Locally, I have submitted my petition to get a police post set up in the newly refurbished Tunstall Town Hall. I have also worked with your local Conservative Councillors, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Staffordshire Police to launch Operation Transom, helping to prevent illegal use of off-road bikes and tackle anti-social behaviour.
Following my successful campaign to secure better CCTV for Kidsgrove, Kidsgrove Town Council has agreed to spend £15,000 for new CCTV in the town centre and deployable cameras to tackle anti-social behaviour in hotspot areas.
But there’s more to do.
Working together, we can reduce crime in Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove & Talke.
So why not tell me what further action on crime you’d like to see?
Please take a few moments to complete the enclosed survey and share your views on crime and anti-social behaviour and return it free of charge in the envelope provided. And together, let’s make Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove & Talke an even better place to live.
