Chatterley Whitfield

Whilst COVID-19 of course takes precedent above all else, it is important to still act on behalf of the people of Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke, raising the issues in our area and seeking government support to tackle them.

I am continuing to get Parliamentary time, once this crisis is over, in the form of a Westminster Hall or Adjournment Debate on the long term future of Chatterley Whitfield Colliery.

Instead, I wrote a Written Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. I am grateful to the Minister for recognising the importance Chatterley Whitfield Colliery plays in the UK’s industrial heritage and their willingness to back Historic England, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and I, in protecting, preserving and securing its long term future.
