On Friday I was joined by my staff (Beth, James, Luke and Shameem), to help deliver food parcels to the elderly and vulnerable across Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke.
We started off at Port Vale FC to work with The Hubb Foundation and Port Vale FC Foundation, who have supported 453 families and 12 schools locally with over 9,000 individual meals.
It was then over to Kidsgrove to help out The Salvation Army and Kidsgrove Tesco who have been taking referrals to support vulnerable locals as well as identifying others from the local community.
Lastly, it was then over to Middleport Matters Community Trust to give out supplies of fresh vegetables and meat, kindly donated by local businesses, to families in the local area.
The community spirit and hard work of the volunteers my team and I met is nothing short of inspirational. The generosity and kindness of the Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove and Talke community can not be rivalled.
