House of Lords to Stoke-on-Trent

Monday, 16 May, 2022

It was great to hear Michael Gove today in the UK House of Commons saying why Stoke-on-Trent would make the perfect home for the House of Lords whilst restoration and renewal takes place in their end of the Palace of Westminster.

Levelling up Stoke-on-Trent will be a litmus test for this government success.

So far it’s been all Stoke, Stoke, Stoke under this government, with the £56 million from the Levelling Up Fund, £31 million to Bus Back Better, £17.6 million Kidsgrove Town Deal and 500 new jobs from the Home Office.

The House of Lords would be a nice cherry on top of the cake.
