Public Transport

On Tuesday I asked the Secretary of State for Transport, Grant Shapps, for more details on how to apply and meet the criteria for £2 billion to create better walking and cycling routes and improved bus services, with lower fares and more frequent services.

In Stoke-on-Trent, Kidsgrove and Talke we have been plighted by poor air quality, congestion and a

lack of good public transport. It simply isn’t good enough.

Along with my colleagues, Jack Brereton MP, and Jo Gideon MP, we have been lobbying to ensure our share of the Transforming Cities Fund as well as a fair slice of the £2 billion to improve our public transport and highways.
