On Wednesday the 20th March Jonathan presented a 90-page petition, signed by 5,825 members of the public, in the House of Commons. 

Stoke-on-Trent North MP Jonathan Gullis urged the Health Minister to increase public access to defibrillators in a debate in Parliament. On the day of the APPG for Defibrillators’ Annual Report Launch, Gullis argued that it’s one of the Government’s top priorities for saving lives.

On the 14 February, following conversations with constituents, Jonathan sent a letter to Councillor Jane Ashworth pushing for the introduction of an Annual Parking Permit for Tradespeople.

Stoke-on-Trent North, Kidsgrove and Talke MP Jonathan Gullis requested time for Parliament to debate the state of Stoke-on-Trent’s schools and the “disastrous PFI debt deal".

At the Budget, The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, extended the 5p cut in fuel duty for the fourteenth consecutive year following an intense campaign led by Jonathan Gullis to maintain the cut. 

At Prime Minister’s Questions today [28/02/2024], Jonathan Gullis, MP for Stoke-on-Trent North, spoke about recent Government investment into local transport in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Jonathan Gullis joined the founder of FairFuelUK to present a 126,000-strong petition to the Chancellor ahead of next week’s Budget. 

The petition calls on the Government to freeze fuel duty rates and keep the cut at the Budget. 

Jonathan Gullis has today welcomed the Home Secretary’s announcement that an Amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill will be laid to protect war memorials.

Today in Parliament, Jonathan Gullis took part in the Business & Trade Select Committee’s special scrutiny session on the Post Office scandal.

The session allowed MPs to understand why the process of redress took so long and scrutinised what went wrong with the Horizon system.

Jonathan Gullis met with the Secretary of State for Transport, Mark Harper, to discuss the ongoing dispute over the remediation work at Kidsgrove Station.
