Jonathan's relentless campaigning, inspired by Price & Kensington Teapot Works in Longport, has seen his Proper Maintenance of Land Bill passed into law under the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act.
After Jonathan’s tireless campaigning to government, in 2021 the Home Office announced they were creating over 500 brand new jobs in Stoke-on-Trent over the next five years.
Thanks to funding from the Kidsgrove Town Deal secured by Jonathan, the Chatterley Valley West site between Kidsgrove and Tunstall is set to be redeveloped creating up to 1,700 brand new jobs and an advanced ceramics campus.
Made possible by funding secured by Jonathan from the £17.6 million Kidsgrove Town Deal, and Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, Kidsgrove Sports Centre has been successfully refurbished and reopened.
Jonathan worked with the King's School in Kidsgrove to secure money from the Kidsgrove Town Deal advance payment for the new 3G astroturf at the school.
Along with Cllr Gill Burnett, Cllr Jill Waring and the Kidsgrove Town Deal Board, Jonathan secured £100k from the £17.6 million Kidsgrove Town Deal advance payment to fund a UK-leading Pump Track at Newchapel Rec.
£4.3 million of Government funding awarded to the Royal Stoke for children's A&E.
Children, young people and their families are set to benefit from new facilities which have been able to open at the Royal Stoke University Hospital thanks to £4.3 million from the Government.
Having successfully lobbied the government, alongside Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s successful bid to the Levelling Up Fund, Jonathan has secured £56 million from the fund for Stoke-on-Trent.
£3.5 million+ will breathe new life into Tunstall Library and Baths.
